The National Cancer Research Network (NCRN) provides the NHS with the infrastructure to support cancer clinical trials in England. Our aim is to improve the speed, quality and integration of research with the ultimate aim of improving patient care. NCRN was established by the Department of Health in April 2001 and has already succeeded in doubling patient accrual into cancer clinical trials. This website provides information about NCRN and includes resources and useful links for health professionals from the cancer research networks, the cancer and wider clinical research community, for healthcare professionals working across the NHS and other health organisations and for members of the public who wish to learn more about NCRN, our partner organisations and our activities. The website is organised into several sections outlined below. Users can also use the free text search facility to locate specific areas of interest. Visitors can also login from this page (username 'guest', password 'guest') to view current accrual data which detail the numbers of patients recruited into clinical trials in cancer. Specialist users can login for access to more detailed accrual data and specialist Network resources such as SOPs and Job Descriptions. We welcome your feedback. Please email comments, corrections or omissions to the NCRN Webmaster or complete the on-line feedback form.
