DoH - Referral
On line referral guidelines for suspected cancer which aims to facilitate appropriate referral between primary and secondary care for patients whom a GP suspects may have cancer. The guidelines should help GPs to identify those patients who are most likely to have cancer and who therefore require urgent assessment by a specialist. Equally the guidelines should help GPs to identify patients who are unlikely to have cancer and who may appropriately be observed in a primary care setting or who may require non-urgent referral to a hospital.

We don’t have a formal agenda, don’t push anyone to speak and don’t know in advance what we will be talking about. The agenda is always set by the issues raised by the ladies present. We ensure that the door is unlocked, the kettle is on and the chairs are arranged so we can talk to each other supportively.
